Sculpture

For my sculpture it seemed like I had a lot of problems. the sculpture was a sculpture of Avatar. The things that gave my sculpture its unique looks were the hair which broke off when I was taking out the paper, the ears and eyes were two really important characteristics of the Avatar as well. I glazed  him blue and his hair black, and his eyes yellow, these colors really made the sculpture stand out.

bowl

This project was the second project that I did on the wheel. This was a lot easier for me than my cylinder because I was starting to get the hang of the wheel. Some thing that i thought that I could've done better on my bowl was make my base a little thinner and the would also cause my bowl to be a bit taller. I used a high fire glaze on this bowl.

Rattle

For my rattle I wanted to make something that no one else was going to make so I made a cowbell. I rolled out 6 slabs and had to cut them to the size I needed. I then put the pieces together to form a hollow box and rolled a bunch of small balls of clay and wrapped them in paper so they don't stick together, I then put a top on it and put on a handle. I glazed this project as a cow design.

cylinder

My cylinder was the first project that I did on the wheel. It took me a while to get the hang of this project because it takes some skill. I first wedged a nice big piece of clay and wedged it, I then put it in the middle of the wheel, you then center the clay, you must slowly raise your clay slowley. My cylinder was about 7 inches .
